Paris, France – 14 February 2020 – Sopra Steria, a European leading in consulting, digital services and software development, announces opening of new facilities in Tunis for its subsidiaries SBS (ex-Sopra Banking Software) – a longstanding player in banking digital transformation – and HR software, a global player in human resources and digital transformation partner.
In order to bolster their foothold in Africa and local customer relationships, on 6th February, SBS (ex-Sopra Banking Software) and Sopra HR Software inaugurated the new facilities in the presence of His Excellency Olivier Poivre d’Arvor French Ambassador in Tunisia. Located in la Cité Les Pins, Lac II Tunis, these new facilities are one of Sopra Steria’s largest in Africa.
François-Xavier Theeten, Managing Director Tunisia-Algeria at SBS (ex-Sopra Banking Software) explained “In 2020, we intend to strengthen ties with our customers in Tunisia and Africa to guide them through their digital transformation projects.”
SBS (ex-Sopra Banking Software) and Sopra HR Software boast over 750 employees in Tunis. This number should grow in 2020 as Sopra Steria’s subsidiaries have planned to recruit around a hundred employees, mainly IT engineering graduates.
Raouf Mhenni, EMEA Managing Director at Sopra HR Software said “In 2019, we recruited over 200 employees in Tunis, and we intend to continue hiring before the end of the year. Therefore, we needed more spacious facilities to welcome everybody, alongside SBS (ex-Sopra Banking Software)’s teams.”
These new premises (including 7233m²) are split over 8 floors and provide a modern, comfortable and warm working environment that reflect new working methods and address environmental challenges (no single-use plastic, very little paper, low energy consumption LEDs, etc.). Spaces have been designed to provide the right framework for digital projects and foster cohesion between teams as well as co-innovation. Facilities focus on boosting quality of life at work so that employees can evolve in a friendly working context.
