Following the new regulations established by the European Parliament and the European Commission, which require banks to offer instant payments to their customers from January 2025 for receiving and October 2025 for sending, the Groupement d’Intérêt Économique CM Services (GIE CM Services) has chosen Sopra Banking Software’s SBP Instant Payments solution. The aim of this strategic decision is to comply with these regulations by anticipating the implementation of the solution among the teams to be operational by the end of 2024.
This collaboration with SBS offers the GIE CM Services a significant advantage, thanks to the implementation of a new SaaS solution connected to their central banking system, allowing them to simultaneously manage instant payments for their seven establishments, while being supported by SBS experts during the implementation process.
Established in 2011, the GIE CM Services is an IT consortium that manages all IT projects for the affiliated Municipal Credits. Municipal Credits are independent public institutions that primarily offer pawn loans. They also offer a variety of services such as personal loans, solidarity savings, auctions, everyday banking, and budgetary support.
By opting for the SBS solution, the GIE CM Services demonstrates its commitment to responding to regulatory changes, while enhancing its operational efficiency and ensuring quality service to its members.
