London, March 30, 2021 – SBS (ex-Sopra Banking Software), a global leader in financial technologies, and Leek United Building Society have announced an agreement to extend their existing relationship to include SBS’s cloud based managed service offering for the Sopra Banking Platform Mortgage & Savings Suite and SBS’s digital savings solution.
SBS is pleased to announce a new agreement with Leek United Building Society (Leek United), designed to build operational resilience for the future and support Leek United in their move to bring in enhanced digital capabilities.
SBS has a longstanding relationship with Leek United dating back to 1997. Building on this successful partnership, Leek United has chosen SBS to provide a cloud based managed service offering, as well as contracting to implement a new digital savings platform later in 2021.
The first step in the process was to transition Leek United’s current on premise implementation of Sopra Banking Platform Mortgage & Savings Suite into SBS’s cloud hosted Managed Service offering on AWS. This has been completed successfully and makes Leek United one of the UK’s first building societies to make this step.
SBS will provide Leek United with its newly launched fully integrated digital savings portal to support new to Building Society customer applications and comprehensive servicing capabilities to provide consumers with the excellent customer experience they receive through the other channels that Leek United operate.
