Amplitude roll-out at BSIC group continues successfully
Paris, 6th November 2017 – The Bank Sahel-Saharan for Investments and Commerce (BSIC) announces it has successfully completed the first stage of its Genesis programme launched with Sopra Banking Software to transform its IT system across its entire network, in 14 countries.
In 2015, the BSIC group launched an important IT system transformation programme in partnership with Sopra Banking Software, in order to support commercial development and improve operational efficiency. This pivotal partnership aims to replace BSIC group’s existing system with Sopra Banking Amplitude, a core banking solution, and implement a standardised and efficient IT system in its 15 banks.
After the first stage which was completed in 2015 in Tunis, with construction of three model banks (CEDEAO French-speaking, CEDEAO English-speaking and Islamic banking) in view of a standardised roll-out, the first three roll-outs were successfully completed this year: Côte d’Ivoire in February, Ghana in March, and Sudan in October.
“We would like to congratulate our joint teams for their work during the first phases of the Genesis programme, and in particular for the three first successful “Go Lives”. This initial success confirms our determination to continue Amplitude “roll-out” across the entire group and our trust in our partner Sopra Banking Software » explained Ali Almoktar, CEO of BSIC Group.
