In 2008, Redcats took the decision to replace the UK mainframe IT system, after circa 20 years. It was felt that the system lacked the flexibility required for future strategic plans. “We wanted to be able to bring new brands to the UK even more quickly. This included the ability to provide a more flexible credit offer to customers,” says Mr Truluck, CEO of Redcats UK. Redcats chose Sopra Banking Lending.
The solution was implemented in successive steps, in tune with its timetable. “It was a bit like playdough,” says Mr. Truluck, “capable of being moulded to meet our requirements.” “We can now cover the entire credit account management process. The new graphically-driven screens and streamlined processes save a significant amount of time by increasing throughput.”
Redcats intends to extend the benefits of the Sopra Banking Lending product to other European countries.
