Between April 24 and 26, the EUvsVirus Hackathon assembled over 30 thousand talented individuals to create new solutions in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

Forty team members from Sopra Steria, Sopra Banking Software and Axway took part in the hackathon, and six multi-disciplinary teams from Germany, France, Italy, India, Norway, Singapore, Luxembourg and Netherlands came up with innovative solutions to help in the fight against Covid-19 in three key areas: health, social cohesion and business continuity.
Holocare – a team from SSG Norway – was one of 120 winners and has been selected for next week’s Demo Day & Matchathon. Good luck, guys!
ImpactMarket
Sopra Banking Software has sponsored the “Speed up access to financial support” prize in the Hackathon’s Digital Finance category. The winner was ImpactMarket, and the team is now eligible to participate in the Demo Day & Matchathon.
The ImpactMarket project enables people to make donations to vulnerable communities through an app by limiting intermediaries between donors and beneficiaries by using blockchain. We’re proud of ImpactMarket, and we’ll continue to support the team.
Next step in EUvsVirus: Demo Day & Matchathon
Next, the 120 winning teams from the hackathon will take part in the upcoming EUvsVirus Matchathon (May 22-25), as well as a Demo Day (May 21). During the Matchathon, teams will match winning projects with external partners – including VCs, academics and corporations, among others – so that they can collectively put the ideas into practice.
